"Don't even know I'm running it." == spyware,.
You have something to hide ?
Why does everyone keep saying that ? I have never had a problem. Plus i dont think rs1 uses uplay only steam.
That's not an argument against privacy. Everyone has something to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hide. If you have a steam account you have a credit card. If you have nothing to hide, why don't you post your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ details here then?
This is just a warning for the many people for whom Uplay doesn't work. I'm sure many people will post "UPlay works fine for me". For many, it doesn't. Why take the gamble?
In RS 2014, it's basically just a launcher that sits there in the background silently (if you disable their game overlay) and requires one extra click to close after you quit the game. Sometimes it has to update before it starts the game, but that's a mild inconvenience at most. In fact, switching over to offline mode should prevent that, too, but I'm liking the song leaderboards so I don't do that.
In short: Get over it.
Actually, alot of us have been around for quite a while. At least in this forum.
