Save File Location
I'm going to be reformatting my computer soon and would like to back-up my save file. Does anyone know where I can find it?

For Rocksmith 2014, I think that would be

XX:\XXX\Steam\userdata\YOUR_USER_ID\221680\remote

The previously posted one seems to be for the original Rocksmith.

Anyways, since the game supports Steam Cloud, and has it enabled by default, shouldn't that mean the save games are already stored in the cloud, unless it has been turned of manually?

I just uninstalled rocksmith and did a reinstall and all was back to where i left off so no need to backup as long as you use the same steam account.

That's because you didn't reformat your pc, which is what the OP is planning to do. A reformat will wipe out the local save.
