Screen turning off when Rocksmith launches.

This happens to me with most games and is caused by the games being set at a wrong resolution, usually there is a config file that i can edit to make it the correct resolution but this time i have been unable to find one. If someone could help me out that would be great.

You're running on Windows? Did you try switching to Windowed mode?

Thanks for the reply, ummm how would i go about doing that? i cant edit the settings because i cant launch the game, so that doesnt really help.

Did you try hitting `Alt+Enter` when the screen came up? Not sure if that will work or not with RS. And, I don't have a Windows machine running at the moment.

You can just hit F11 or go into options. Also, hitting F11 again will return you to fullscreen. This applies to most all games that run on windows.

edit the "rocksmith.ini" and manually set your resolution there and see if it works
There you can switch to windowed mode too

Thanks, i eventually found the .ini file and was able to edit it.

I had the black screen then BSOD.
The dump indicated that stdriver64.sys was an issue.
Google this, but in summary it is an NCH software driver.
Download their "SoundTap" software, then do not reboot, but uninstall "SoundTap".
This will remove stdriver64.sys.
Worked for me.
