Can't buy the real tone cable
Ubisoft aren't listing the cable on their store, Amazon are out of stock, GAME are out of stock. All I can find are enterprising individuals selling them for £50.

Anyone else have this problem?

I see you're not in America but I just checked, and Amazon does have them in stock and I thought Amazon did international shipping.
I used bing and typed in "rocksmith realtone cable" it was the first first result.

Walmart
Bestbuy
Gamestop
Are all out of stock
so your best bet is to try Amazon or even ebay

I just bought one from an EB Games store (in Canada) but it wasn't easy to find one in stock. Shouldn't be a problem to find one online though.

By the way, it might be cheaper or better to buy RS 1 with the realtone cable. Then you will have access to all DLC instead of just RS 2014 DLC. And for 10 dollars more (don't know how many pounds) you can get all the RS 1 on disk songs transferred over to RS 2014.

Sorry guys, should have added: in UK. I've writtent o Ubisoft, and they're notably silent just yet. If I get completely stuck then buying RS1 might do the trick, thanks @905.

If you read the forums you will see a lot of people upset that they can't buy songs from RS 1 DLC. So you should look at the RS 1 dlc and see if you want much of it. If you do then buy RS 1 with the cable.

You should also look to see if you like any of the on disk songs on RS 1. If you evnentually want them, you should buy RS 1 with the cable. Usually you can find RS 1 with the cable for about what the cable costs, or at least it used to be that way.

I live in UK and bought RS1 for PC (which I already have) with the cable included. I got it off Amazon and it took about 8 days to arrive from America just before Xmas. Cost me about £25
