I started my neice a few weeks ago and RS seems to be doing a good job of sorting for her.
Fun to play would be Soul Man by the Blues Brothers (again, on bass), but it might be a bit fast for those just starting out. Back to Cali by Slash has interesting slides that help the enjoyment without being overly difficult.
Vaseline by STP is probably great for training your consistency, but only if you can get past the plodding monotony of doing the same hammer-on for the whole damn song
It's a lesson for begginers: no matter how stupid the melody is, it can still sound right with the proper effects (having someone hammering the drums helps).
On lead guitar I would say Boston. His mutes and clean play was admired by many, even Jimi Hendrix.
On rhythm guitar I would say about any of the 80s power rock, particularly Def Leopard. Power chords galore they are always fun.
DISCLAMER: This opinion, like many others, is purely subjective based on the originators viewpoint. It is not supported by Ubisoft or Steam and in no way should it be taken as a license to play songs of the above mentioned artists unless the user is willing to accept full risk of having fun and leaning something at the same time.
