Yes and no. Yes if you spend 1 hour a day for 60 says you will see a lot of results.
The tracking of it though is bit rubbish.
It discounts menus and all sorts and that makes it difficult to know the exact time you are spending.
I state on Dec 13 have 400 hours in fame and am only on day 43 or so..... Doesn't exactly add up to me....:2014pick:

I have completed the 60 day challenge, as Dan said the way it counts is rubbish, in fact I think I only got to complete the 60 day challenge because I complained about it on the UBI forums, mysteriously the next day I had completed it :-) - However, practicing at least an hour for 60 days definitely improves your playing, it really can't fail to improve unless you are completely not cut out for guitar.

60 day challenge has never worked for me and I had it from day 1 (pre-ordered). Everytime I log in, I get presented with the log-in screen again. I gave up one it ages ago, been playing guitar for many years, and I was never really too bothered about it. Just thought it made ubisoft appear really inept and unprofessional. This has appeared even more so now with the issues with Assassins Creed Unity.

I agree the implementation was extremely poor. A great idea wasted.

You get out of it what you put in. If you put in the work and practice hard, Yes, The challenge works. I have been on Rocksmith for 1 year and 1 month now and can play my tail off thanks to all I have learned playing it. Best teaching tool that keeps you engaged and excited.

I have had Rocksmith 2014 since December 2013. I personally committed to a minimum of 1 hour of Rocksmith per day. I currently have about 500 hours in Rocksmith 2014. I never tried the 60 Day challenge. However, at day 58, I posted my first master level song score. I do not cheat. Why cheat? If you got Rocksmith to learn and cheat to get a score, you are only cheating yourself. If you want to learn to play the guitar, Rocksmith 2014 is a great tool to help you achieve that goal.

But, the key to any achievement is your dedication to the achievement. If you try to find a short cut, you are just short changing yourself.

If it is your goal to learn to play the guitar and you are willing to put in the time, get a box copy of either Rocksmith or Rocksmith 2014, you need the realtone cable. And then join in this forum, there are a lot of good people here to help you learn. But, don't come in thinking it's going to be a cake walk and Rocksmith will get you there.
