Another Instruments
I am a violinist and I've heard that I could plug some alternative instruments. So, is it possible to play with the electric violin? And how will it work? tyvm :)

Have no clue how it would work. If you could make it create the same sounds as a guitar... the game just listens for the sound. But, not knowing much about violins, I am not sure if you would have enough of a range of notes to play the songs. I would think that maybe you could use it to play in session mode as a way to practice. The only problem would be tuning, which you could plug in a guitar, tune using that, then plug in the tuned violin.

If you have a way to plug the real tone cable into your violin, it will work assuming the violin can cover the same note frequency. Rocksmith 2014 does not care what the source of the sound is. It only cares that you give it the correct frequency.

I have six differenct types of guitars. Each is different from the other. ICould you post some information about you guitar setup... I would like to try this myself. I have even considered banjo's, mandelins, and other instruments. If you could come up with an interface to the cable... Maybe a mic? you could use a piano.

G. Shar, please let me know if you decide to try this out.

You can use a pizio soundboard pup. If yours is not electric already. Geting past the tuning is the hard part. Ive hooked up and played a mandolin piano and a banjo. ;-) had great fun in session mode you can play the songs also as long as you dont give a damm a bout the hit miss stuff. Deffently let us know how it turns out. And post your Dust in the Wind solo ;-)

Go for it DarknightK its a blast Just tune with guitar then plug your other instrament in and have at it
