Heart shaped box problems
I've been trying to play Heart Shaped Box by Nirvana for a while, but I've run into two problems:

1: The bends. I can't figure out how far it wants me to bend the string during the chorus! Are some of them full bends and others half bends? How am I supposed to know which ones?

2: The second chord in the chorus. The one where you have to bar the last three strings to make an E-something. I have tried barring them, I've tried using three separate fingers, but it hardly ever registers, and if it does I don't know why and I can't replicate it! Has anybody played this song and can help?

I've played guitar regularly for a couple of years now, but Rocksmith still does weird things like that that I can't figure out...

Pay attention to the appearance of the note. One Chevron is a half bend, two is a full bend. I don't know the answer to the second question because I'm a complete noob.

i was have in bar chord problems for a long time. What I did was to set up a clean amp to play with and in RIff Repeater set up that passage and just play the chord until it sounds clean. Most times until you figure it out, barring a set of strings will mute one of them. Best thing is to keep at bars on a clean setting and make sure that each indivudal string ring clean.

Also watch the chevrons is correect for the size of the bend.

Don't feel bad about having issues with the Rocksmith tab of Heart shaped box. I actually knew how to play the song before I bought Rocked Smith. And the I found the Rocksmith method for learning that song to be much much harder then just watching a video lesson.

Here are the video lessons I used to learn much of the song.

Alright, thanks! I thought I saw something about chevrons while playing, but I never really got what they meant till now, so thanks. And yeah, I'll check out those video lessons, see if I can just learn it properly then.

Hey dittodude you want a sure fire way to figure out how far bends should go? Leave a small tuner like a snark on your headstock, then when you bend watch the tuner register a half or full step.... gives you an accurate place to start. Do it enough and you will develop an ear for it.
