Can you (I highly doubt) transfer PS4 RS2014 DLC into PC RS2014?
Thanks!

Figures. I love to waste money. I need to dropkick my PS4. I love spending full price on PS4 games just to see them on steam for 75% off. Thanks

Look into custom dlc and you will be a little happier that you are on the pc platform now. There is a guide about it over in the guide section.

BTW the guide is a little wrong. Look for a guide over at the CDLC site.

Depending on your skill level, you should play the RS 2014 songs before you get into cdlcs. If your are just learning, do the lessions and the RS songs first. They will build your ability.

Customs are brilliant but as 905 said best to stick with the normal Rocksmith songs till you get a bit of experience as rocksmith really go out of their way to chart the songs for all levels where as most of the custom charters just load up the full score which is overwhelming at beginner level.

I was happy with RS's progressive difficulty, until I reached the point in most of the songs where the next step in phrase difficulty throws out most of what I learned and replaces it with a chord. RS is also terrible about not explaining pivots and other basic stuff that I learned through youtube. I will do a bit more cdlc and then follow your advice. I guess out of curiosity I just want to see how the structure of some of my lifetime favorites are so I can associate what I hear with how it's played.

I agree sometimes RS will kind of lead you astray on some of the easier difficulty settings. I found that sometimes it was better to use riff repeater to set the difficulty higher. Some things were harder for me to play on low difficulty than higher. Because the rythm I was hearing wasn't in the notes they were giving.

I can't tell if you are a beginner or not. But if you are a beginning guitarist, I encourage you to also do the beginner guitar lessons on youtube by justinguitar. He will get into things that are good to learn that Rocksmith doesn't really teach.

Well, no, but you can put certain Chevy Parts on Pontiac's, Buicks and some other GM cars.
AFAIK there is absolutely nothing different about the DLC for the various platforms, it's just that the distribution paths are separate. So It's more of a "paperwork thing" than an actual technical problem.

@905: I've been playing about six weeks now, for a total of approximately 100 hours. I should be better than I am, but I picked up bad habits early on such as: trying to play A7X/Pantera/Iron Maiden, playing notes with the pads of my fingers rather than the tips, holding the guitar incorrectly (I now hold it classically on the left leg), using cheater chords, incorrect strumming hand placement (I now rest strumming hand pinkie finger on side of pickup), not using correct finger for a given note, raking rather than strumming, not learning slides as a fret board navigation technique, etc etc basically every mistake a guy can make.

Thanks I will check out justin guitar now. As a side note, RS could do a much better job for the absolute beginner that I was regarding the mistakes I listed above. They could also explain basic music theory and stop trying to be so hipster about everything.
