I finally completed the 60 day challenge!
Big whoop! - For all of you that came to the same conclusion I did, there really is no point to the 60 day challenge, you get nothing at the end of it, not even a badge. No free tunes, no certificate just an email that says "You completed it, now the journey begins". Now it is still worth playing Rocksmith for 60 straight days because that will definitely improve your playing just don't worry that the 60 day challenge doesn't keep track of the days accurately and doesn't provide any real value in of itself. - BTW, it took me 6 months to get the 60 days to register ;-)
I am very pleased with my progress using Rocksmith, it inspires me to pick up my guitar almost every day and crank out a few of my favorite tunes!! - Rock on!

I am happy to hear that you used the system for 60 days. Most people bail after 2 weeks, 30 days or so. I think the 60 day challenge was to get the goal oriented people that went and bought the game, and a guitar time to get some level of completence to see if they really wanted to learn. For example, if you spend $300 on a guitar and the game and dropped it in 2 weeks you would be complaining that game is not good, not that you have add and can't take the time to learn a new skill.

My 2 cents

My completion took from October until March. Now I play way more hours out of the game, but still like trying to complete the challenges. The way I try to learn new songs has changed to running through at 100% to see patterns, then playing through steps, while building speed. If a portable, say android version were available, I would probably go back to the game more often than playing along to Utube videos.

I wish I could do that but I need a slower approach, when I have looked at CDLC that doesn't have dynamic difficulty included it usually overwhelms me. I like the approach of getting a good accuracy score first time through and then building my mastery. I do like that now I can almost pick up any song and first time through I will score a decent mastery. Now, getting them to "mastered" is a different story. I think I only have 3 or 4 songs in the high 90s for mastery.

Oh, I used it since March until now to get the 60 day challenge done. Using it almost every day for over an hour (last two weeks I played 22hrs according to Steam). My post was really to say that you don't need to worry if the 60 day challenge is not keeping score properly, you will still improve. I agree with your assessment, it probably was to give the goal oriented folks something to shoot for. It would be much better if it could keep score properly and get you through 60 days in something close to that. ;-)
