real tone cable with voice meeter?

having a hell of a time trying to get this working. not played for years but wanted to start again. I now use voice meeter potato for my audio and the real tone cable for the guitar. I dont have an guitar interface or anything like that so its just real tone cable-pc then voice meeter for outputs. Ive tried following tuts online to get it working using RS_asio etc but they all seem aimed towards using an interface between the pc and guitar which i dont have. Any tips on getting it going? as currently rocksmith doesnt even detect that i have the real tone cable plugged in (its 100% there and working) and every time i start the game it says i have no audio output device. Ive also tried quitting out of voicemeeter and just running through my speaks but i still have the same results. Any tips are great thank you

The voice meeter virtual audio ? Could you cut the voice meeter and just go straight to pc speaker ? That could be the cause. Or try the no cable laucher from maxx55

I had to completely uninstall voice meeter to even get Rocksmith to load. There is some sort of conflict. I haven't decided what to do about it yet, except keep Voice Meeter uninstalled for now.

have you check the audio path ? it could be overided by it, the playback and the recording device, perhaps, sometimes it's left leftover inputs/outputs in device manager

ASIO only works for audio hardware that supports it. (Mostly interfaces/soundcards)
The RT cable does not, it uses windows wasapi.
The use of voicemeeter can be very beneficial though to reroute sounds, once you get it setup properly. It's not an easy program, so it's not recommended to use at first. When using the cable it's not really needed. But for streaming it can be

The message no audio device is because you have installed ASIO. You need to remove it and also the file avrt.dll in your Rocksmith2014 folder.
You can use RS mods though, that can add some benefits. But if already used you need to set it to wasapi again.

i finally got it working, added the real tone cable to voice meeter, set rocksmith to come out of a virtual audio cable, Used rocksmith ASIO and selected "rocksmith potato insert virtual ASIO" as input 1 for the tone cable in rocksmith mods and "voicemeeter vitual ASIO" for the output. custom buffer size of 48 in rocksmith mods and enabled "exclusive mode and real tone cable only" in rock smith mods. Now it finally works! only took 2 days of messing lol
as for voicemeeter itself ivve been using if for years now and would never go back which is why i was trying to get it working without removing it.

Lol, that's the way I was using it too before to switch between my interface and the real tone cable. But explaining it properly, would need a whole lot of text for people that are not familiar with it.
