Interesting.
Though I hear 2,4ghz signal should have close to zero latency for gaming. I really don't understand why it wouldn't work. There are plenty of gaming headsets out there that works in FPS games real good. Unless Rocksmith has somekind of a known bug that prevents it from working.
Sounds really good, I'll look into that!

Absolutely critical is stereo. Not 5.1 or 7.1. If your headset uses either of those, it probably wont work. This actually applies to all audio setups. If your sound setting in windows is higher than 2.0 stereo Rocksmith with launch with an error message and probably wont have sound at all.
The other requirement is 16bit 48khz dvd quality audio signal. 44khz doesn't work as far as I can tell.
They are comfortable, sound great, have good range, and have no lag with Rocksmith.
Also one transmitter can work with 2 sets of headphones.
These can be had for $50 or less on ebay.
RS works just fine with my SB ZXR set to 24-bit/96Khz and Speakers set to 5.1.
It can indeed work, but it's not optimal and requires more horsepower to work properly.
Personally I strongly recommend a good sound card and analog speakers for best results. Everything else is just a real gamble.
24bit/96kHz means RS or the audio device has to resample the in game audio and the input of the cable. This lowers quality for no gain at all. Not recommended.
