Best wireless headphones for Rocksmith?
I've been searching the Internet for a while to find a perfect headphones for gaming and after playing rocksmith I'd really want them wireless. There are way too many headphones (and headsets) out there so I'm asking for help and suggestions on the best headphones. My budget is about up to 150€, but I accept suggestions to 200€ and slightly above if you can point out insanely good product.

I appreciate if you take the time to read my preferred requirements below. If not, please feel free to give your suggestions for wireless headphones/headset.

My requirements are in three category: must have, nice to have, and qualities I concider bad.

Must have:
- Wireless
- No latency (as for rocksmith and other gaming this is a must)
- Budget up to 150€
- At least good sound quality. Certainly no need for state of the art Hi-Fi sound.

Nice to have:
- Closed headphones
- Microphone is a plus, but I'd prefer it to be removable or hidden (My usage is very seldom)
- If there is a docking station, it should be charging. Otherwise it's pointless piece of junk. (Also other very complicated design requirements apply as this is concidered decorative item in a house hold including a woman)
- Volume and mute buttons
- Long battery life
- Digital audio

Bad qualities:
- All color led lights (unless very subtle). As I don't, at the moment, live in outer space the headphone design is prefered to be stylish, and earthly.
- Short battery life
- Useless configurable and unconfigurable buttons on headphones that have no use in life and such occasions.

My motherboard only has a single input for analog audio and I use it for speakers. Preferable connectivity via USB, Bluetooth or S/PDIF

How is this a good answer. Surely there are good headphones out there.

Its not a question of good headphones.
The problem is Rocksmith does not play nice with bluetooth or usb headphones.
Many users are unable to get them to work.
Bluetooth causes a conflict and introduces too much latency.
Most wireless headphones will introduce a degree of latency that might make the game unplayable. On top of that they may not be able to work with RS at all.
This is not to say you cannot get them to work, but recommending anything is just not really possible.

Interesting.
Though I hear 2,4ghz signal should have close to zero latency for gaming. I really don't understand why it wouldn't work. There are plenty of gaming headsets out there that works in FPS games real good. Unless Rocksmith has somekind of a known bug that prevents it from working.

I see. Thanks for pointing this out. Looks like some wireless logitech headphones have easy work-arounds that may or may not work. Maybe I'll do some more research and buy the best headset for me and see if they work on RS. It's a real bummer though.

I just bougt the creative Tactic 3D Omega heatset and they are great. No latency issues for me and they are USB 2.4ghz wireless with detatchable mic. Plus they work for Xbox & PS and my Vita. They cost me $125 from Amazon.

Sounds really good, I'll look into that!
USB does work, but you might need to alter certain settings in the gamefile.

I have used this bluetooth set from Sony since I got my PS3. That has long gone but they work perfectly in my laptop and sound fantastic. Very underated set of cans. No issues with Rocksmith.

PCracker, I tried the same headset with RS2014 on PC, and there was constant clicking noise while the game was running. No problems with any other games. :-/

I guess the rest of the hardware comes into play too ie. soundcard etc. It is an expensive trial and error process!

Rocksmith 2014 has very specific audio requirements for it to work with usb headsets.
Absolutely critical is stereo. Not 5.1 or 7.1. If your headset uses either of those, it probably wont work. This actually applies to all audio setups. If your sound setting in windows is higher than 2.0 stereo Rocksmith with launch with an error message and probably wont have sound at all.

The other requirement is 16bit 48khz dvd quality audio signal. 44khz doesn't work as far as I can tell.

I'm using Logitech H600 Wireless, its work fine. But the problem is if you trying to record your gameplay using that headphone, there will no any sound recorded. I must set up my speaker as default device so everything will work fine.

I like my Sony RF-985 wireless headphones.

They are comfortable, sound great, have good range, and have no lag with Rocksmith.

Also one transmitter can work with 2 sets of headphones.

These can be had for $50 or less on ebay.

RS works just fine with my SB ZXR set to 24-bit/96Khz and Speakers set to 5.1.
It can indeed work, but it's not optimal and requires more horsepower to work properly.

Personally I strongly recommend a good sound card and analog speakers for best results. Everything else is just a real gamble.

24bit/96kHz means RS or the audio device has to resample the in game audio and the input of the cable. This lowers quality for no gain at all. Not recommended.

i can also warn from my experience that SB Tactic Rage headphones does not work properly with RS.. or at least i cant get them to work
