You're kidding right? The badly tuned strings would certainly cause the note to be detected incorrectly.
I will also note if anyone is wondering, don't use Nashville tuning with this either, I haven't tried it yet (in RS14) but I doubt if it will work. I do have a Nashville tuned guitar, I may try it sometime but I figure, heck, most have never even heard of it, so look it up LOL......
EDIT: I found this on You Tube on Nashville Tuning....

One more edit for new guitar players, some of you may get your socks knocked off by this but this is another little deal used with electric guitars called "The B Bender" music starts at 1:08
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8RPjjpbZhA
You can also add a G Bender for both B & G but man, that's some tough stuff to learn, but well worth it when/if you do.....
So that B Bender is like a tremolo arm but it acts on only the B string...
Being connected to the strap like that I imagine you can only really use it when you're sitting down?
Correct, in fact most use it standing, once you get the hang of it, it's not hard but getting the timing right can be difficult for some. I guess some may say I'm nuts but I think it's one of those deals where you have to feel it and flow with it. I used to play a B Bender but can't now so I sold mine (due to accident and getting hands messed up), I first heard the sound on an LP and thought it was a Pedal Steel, then I saw the group (a gospel group actually called Parable) live and seen the B Bender in action up front and close, I was hooked, that was back in 77 or 78 after playing 13 or so years already, I had to wonder how I missed it before then.
Another aspect new players will find out about soon enough is the Synth Guitar, I bring some of this stuff up to show new players just how great playing guitar can be, so don't give up.
