session mode / guitar tone settings
I purchased rocksmith for the sole purpose of playing around in session mode (not interested in the songs..). I can't seem to edit any guitar tones.. i play around with the guitar tone editor however it just stays clean. It seems the songs have a game aspect to them and you have to win to get awards, tones , etc? How do I just get all of the tones (amps, effects, etc..). I thought possibly this was a puchase in the game.. but doesn't seem to be.

So is my issue not having points or whatever to get the amp/tone settings, or is this more of a technical problem that i am not hearing the sounds. I am able to scroll through the menu of options and make selections however nothing actually changes the tone of the guitar.

Thanks in advance!

** Update to this.. after posting I went in and out of the program multiple times. The program stars with preloaded marshall sounding tone.. as soon as I go into the tone designer and attempt to add or change any settings, it immediately goes "clean" with no effects, amp settings, etc.. The settings say they are loaded however it is not actually working. Seems like a bug in the program??

When you are in the tone editor, you can assign them to the keys (either number or function I can't remember) then you can hit those keys in learn a song or sesson mode and they will become active. So all you need to do is assign them to the keys and recall them in session mode.

Hmmm, clean may be default. You can also load tones to start with from the various songs. That might be a good place to start. Pick a tone from a song you like.

It's also possible that he's suffering from the dreaded Tone Drops to Bare Bones Bug.
it sounds like the bug. is this fixable?
