So typical of ubisoft.
They give a constant signal on 2 axis from the toe brakes. Which is fine for sims, but not really helping if you want to control a menu ;-)
The game jumps as well apparently on any ♥♥♥♥♥♥ hat it detects and on any xy axis it can find, as the joystick on the throttle and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on my sticks, and the sticks, etc all get partly recognized by the game.
*shrugs* But the pedals are the only thing plugged into the backplate of the computer, so the only thing that is not comfy to unplug. But as I said, nuisance, not a drama. I am sure I can deal with deactivating the pedals simply before playing rocksmith.
Would have been still nice to deactivate the controller support somewhere in the config files instead.
Why are you blaming the game for something that is YOUR controller's fault? This sort of thing would happen with ANY kind of controller that uses standard directinput/xinput. You give the game input, it doesn't care what kind of controller it is, it's going to respond to it.
It's quite common for games to automatically detect and respond to controller input when it's present. If they didn't, people would be complaining about THAT instead.
That said, your a fringe case. Disconnect the pedals and/or deactivate the software and be done with it.
Because there are no options nor settings implement to help the game with it's controls. I blame the game for just assuming that any directinput is valid input and that it is just 'randomly' picking one of my controlls and ignoring the others (most likely it simply has hardcoded to use the first control in windows). They do not even have an options menu to save a few bucks on development. And that is typical of ubisoft. It is a common theme with all of their games. including their AAA games. Why would anyone want to choose which controller the game uses instead of unplugging half a dozen things first each time? ;-)
And btw, it is not my controllers fault either as it is working as it is supposed to be.
And now I have written a lot more than such a small issue is really worth. :)
It's not "randomly" picking anything and you clearly understand exactly why that is. It's not the game's fault, you give it input, its going to respond. it does not care what the source is.
This is YOUR fault, not the games. Unplug the stupid controller or disable it and quit your whining.
Now Goodbye.
