UBISOFT!!!!!
Why break Rocksmith remastered with some stupid update that still breaks the game!!

Rocksmith+ with a yearly subscription is the wrong choice to make!

We dont want that, Rocksmith remastered worked fine until you broke it.

Just think of all the DLC people bought from them. UbiSoft doesn't care about its customers. This is all just to get you paying an infinite subscription to them. It's criminal

A reddit post I read from an Ubisoft employee said that this 'issue' was not known about until release. They put that beta code in incase of issues that arose with us after the release. They are unsure what is causing this in the update and it was not intended to happen.
I tend to be fairly trusting and give people the benefit of the doubt. I have a feeling though that someone was urged from the higher-ups or accounting department to put in some kind of code in the update to 'break' our old games to get us to sign up and find out we like the new one better. I would not put it past someone at Ubi. If I can think of it, so can someone else. Just another conspiracy theory.
I'm no defender of Ubi. Generally view them in the same light at Activision, EA, Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft. They all have their questionable business practices. That said...

1) They made a legacy build available in a beta channel 'justincaseweneedit'. They really didn't have to.
2) AFAIK the CDLC community have already updated their mod to work with the latest build (sure that was posted by someone else in these forums recently).
3) You can't blame Ubisoft for unofficial, unsupported, 3rd party applications not working with their code.

Actually Kudos to Ubi if they are now aware of the issue with RS ASIO and are planning to patch a fix for it.

Now if you want to discuss them not patching out that god awful UPlay account login I'm forced to deal with every time I run the game - I'm all ears.
How to say its not your own fault by using mods, and blame the company that breaks the mod which isn't theirs (but they still issued a backup version in case of...), and got solved by the community, but you're not going to check on that either.
Yep, Linux you're completely right

Hello M_Stoner,

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear about your experience.

Can you please confirm if you switched to the legacy branch or disabled some mods, by any chance? You can find more details in this thread..

Many thanks and if you have any additional questions, please let us know.

After this move from ubi, which coincides with the release of their "subscription" service
I wont be buying anything from ubi again.
My trust has been truly sh*t on

Why? What have they done? Provide a back up solution for people with issue? Actively look for solutions with 3rd party mods? Not a huge fan of Ubi, but I can't actually fault them here with RS.

You think it's not enough to release an update that doesn't solve any issue for end users but expectedly breaks setups that have been working for years?
Well, as the people who make the unsupported 3rd party mods said - if Ubi had updated more often this would have happened sooner.
And the beta legacy build has always been there

Do you mean it's okay releasing such useless updates more often? The point here is that we don't need that update at all, not for a single reason. Ubi released it for its own good. How it doesn't make them evil? :headcrab:

Ubisoft didn't need to update RS remastered, for me even with the updated RS asio 6.1 and 6.2 dont work with the new updated version of RS remastered, the beta version works with 5.7 of RS asio using scarlet solo 3rd gen.

Ubisoft if your going to update this game then add asio support for all audio interfaces that makes more sense when doing updates for RS remastered.

Oh they did, in the new Rocksmith+ :taloslol:

You must surely know by now, it was not in the intention to include those in the older versions?
Leave RS ASIO for the developer that made those, give the person some credit.
