did as told in your step by step. Still it doesn't pick up the playback device. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game as well. My drive is up to date as wel.

If everything he said didn't wortk try going pass the compatability troubleshooting to the properties setting and disable compatability.

Hello people, I'm having an issue with the driver of the Real Tone Cable. It's always with the yellow mark ( ! ) and it says that an error happened. I can't get it working, tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver and changing it on different USB ports but it doesn't seem to be the issue.

Any advice? Thank you.

Check your BIOS settings .. .try different USB settings ...like disabling xhci.

Check your USB power for the root hub you are using.

Try a powered USB hub.

Too much work for this game. I had this problem with Windows 7, wouldn't detect my Logitech G930 Headphones not matter what I did. I recently built a new PC with Win 10, so it looks like people are still having this problem, and I won't be installing because of it... =(

It doesn't seem like an USB problem, but with the driver. I tried reinstalling it but it keeps giving me an error. Damn

I'm a bit late but got the same error, the first set of instructions fixed it, thank you! Easy to follow step-by-step guide.

I had an issue after a recent Windows Update patch. The cable wouldn't work within Rocksmith, but it did work within Windows 10. The Windows 10 patch actually enabled some security settings on all Microphones. I had to go into "Microphone Privacy" and cahnge the "Allow apps to access your microphone slider to "on". Voila! :nuke:

It did work for me! (Windows 10) I did everything, but the important step seemed to be "6- click the Advanced Tab change to 16 bit 48000HZ (DVD Quality) click apply"
