Making CDLC without Guitar Pro
Hey guys, I don't know how many of you here have knowledge of making CDLC but I figured I'd post here in conjuction to what I posted at Customsforge.

Basically I have all the programs required to make the tracks, but every tutorial I come across seem to only cover making the custom tracks with pre-made Guitar Pro tabs. The song I want to make does not have any GP tabs, so when it comes to the step of importing said file into FoF I can't move on because none of the tutorials cover my situation.

What should I do? I'd like to start making some songs because some of the tracks I want to play either haven't been made yet or are bad quality (out of sync, wrong notes, etc.)

Yep I figured out how to save it in the correct format for EOF. Also found a tutorial in EOF that basically shows how to tab out the song directly in that program.

Gonna keep going with GP and see where it gets me. Thanks a ton for the help so far. Hopefully it turns out good.

Btw do you also play bass? I'll be making bass tracks only since that's the only instrument I have/play so it'd be nice to have someone to test it out for me before I put it out in the wild...once I get that far anyway
When you save the file. pick save as and you can change the format there. You can do in EoF
but I have not tried it.If you get it all right on your 1st try your amazing.Getting it all synked and all is tuff for me at least,And the most important part. I always have to go back and adjust,I dont upload my stuff and I dont DL others.Just my preference
I'm making some progress. It's slow...but it's progress :D
Really aprreciate all the help I've gotten here so far.
The timing and the syncing are the most critical parts of the process. If your timing is off, then it will not play right. There is a lot of adjustment required to get the tab to line up with the actual song. It's fun to create your own DLC but it is a lot of work. Like MTZIGG I don't upload my stuff or download others. - To be honest, going through the process gives you an appreciation of how much work goes in to the official DLC and how they really are worth the price.
The syncing and timing are coming along nicely but very slowly...is there a way to copy entire sections and paste them in EOF? That would help a lot.

Also since I'm writing the tab as I sync the notes I'm making it as accurate as possible, getting each note I can hear. I'm trying to make this like DLC quality you'd expect to find on the store :D

But since I have to do repeated sections by hand it's hard to keep some consistency here and there, but overall it's coming along well.

Edit: The answer to my own question is yes. I figured it out

Hey guys I've finally finished tabbing and syncing the song in EOF. I've followed the rest of the screenshot guide on CustomsForge and went through Wwise. Now I'm at the last stage where I fill out the info and add a tone...

Now I'm stuck again. A friend of mine told me I can just use a tone already from the game by making slight adjustments then saving it, which I did. But now I don't know how to get that tone and import it into the Toolkit.

Never mind. I finally got it and tried it just now. I think it's great.
There could be some slight adjustments here and there but I think it's pretty darn good for my first time at this stuff.

I've uploaded it to CustomsForge. The name of the song is Ben Has a Kid by The Devil Wears Prada. Bass only.
