I'd go with a Fender Mustang over the Amplifi personally.

That's a decent price though and the Amplifi has some pretty cool features the Mustang doesn't.

I found the controls on a mustang more friendly. I felt like I needed a manual for the Amplifi.

is the fender mustang any good for metal?

+1 on the mustang I have a 3. I Found as Kid did. Also the software way more user friendly. But I wish I had a line 6 with the fender software ;-) sound wise. I dont make any $ playing so Fender was a good choice for me.It has some good metal settings . But you need to take your guitar and try them out at GC or someplace

I have a mustang 3v2 (100W), very nice quality with clean/crunch preset and strat. I don't use heavy dist.

I have the line 6 FX100 I love it, as far as tones and effects, they are really easy to set up. You literally play a song and it suggests tones that sound like that song. It's fun to play with, I have a splitter cable so I can play Rocksmith but hear the guitar through the line 6.

The amplifi 150 is my go to for rocksmith. If i have the knowledge to rig a tube amp for rocksmith and have capabilities that the amplifi has for me, most definitly i would. The line6 150 verses the 75 is the twevele inch speaker for a better bottom bass output.

I can also use for streaming online.

one last thing before i close, checkout the line 6 web page for the next seminar on tone design at you local guitarstore. it's free

I have manually looked up a RS tone and "transcribed" it to an AMPLIFI tone with good success. It's not a one-to-one as they do some things differently in RS compared to AMPLIFI but you can get close with an approximation. The cool think with AMPLIFI is once you make the tone you can share it and everyone can access it from the tone library. It's like the RS tone designer on steroids.

Nice :) I've made screenshots of a few sounds ingame too and will try to emulate them with my gear... no Amplifi though.

If you have 400€ go for a 1x12 cabinet and the Orange Micro Terror, it does some pretty nice metal tones.

*I meant the Orange Micro Dark

It is my personal opinion, but stay away from Line6 and seek a better amp.

I have the Line 6 spider iv 75w to be fair for the money it is great value and with an FBV pedal its a dream I can not praise it enough. I can not say that I would Gig it thou but for practice and the wide variety of sounds from it its great.
