Discord Issues
I've been trying to play this game while speaking to friends on Discord but every time I open the game, my mic suddenly stops working and I sometimes can't hear anyone speak. Looking around the discussions, I've seen two things.

"Make sure to turn audio exclusivity off on both your microphone and headphones you use in Discord" I have no clue what that means.

This one was a response from a Dev
"You should be able to do this by making sure that your Mic/Headset are not set to allow applications to take exclusive control of them" I don't know where this option is located, not sure if its in Discord or Rocksmith.

Also attempted streaming the game through Discord so someone could watch me play a song, they couldn't hear anything but they could at least see it.

Dev from which company? But he probably meant Windows sound settings, but it most of the time does not work at the same time.
There are some earlier posts about it in this forum. Just use the search function.

Ubisoft. Yeah I remember something about the Windows thing.

I already searched about it. That's the entire reason I made this post, because none of them helped.

Can someone please just tell me what to do here? Where is the option, Discord or Rocksmith? Where is it located? It's that simple.

That link was not helpful. They had a different problem. They could actually be heard but the sound was quiet. I don't make any noise whatsoever. And even if somehow boosting the mic works, that will leave another problem. When I'm done playing RS it will then be too loud. Switching mics is out of the option too. I want to know where this "Exclusivity" thing comes from.

Cool, and I have a suggestion for you too, stop being a jerk about it and unsub from the discussion. Someone nicer and more helpful will come along eventually.
When i am old and grey, great song.

Luckily other people appreciate my help, as they know how to read.

This is a great community of people helping out each other, imagine why nobody else has responded yet.........,

Got it fixed. In case anyone happens to show up at this post and wants to know what I did, you have to:

1.Right click the speaker on the taskbar and select Sounds

2. Click on Recording, Right click the mic you want to fix and click Properties

3. Go to Advanced and turn off "Give exclusive mode applications priority," then click Apply.

For wanting to hear others in Discord its the same thing, this time go into Playback instead of Recording and repeat the process for the headset you use.

Streaming the game in Discord had a couple hiccups, RS fully broke and required me to restart my PC. The second attempt worked pretty well, but the notes were not counting as hit when they should've been, although this may be the volume being too high or low or something else (like me just being bad).

Cata, I feel pretty dumb for not just looking it up on a web browser and I apologize.
