ROCKSMITH+ IS SUBSCRIPTION GAME
As the title stays, what it means is your are going to get the same UI, same graphics, same songs, works on all other platforms and then the biggy you got to pay a monthly fee for the privilege. WHAT A JOKE. This is their new rocksmith game lol, not going to work.

So corporation greed as set in again, the main strength of rocksmith, was it one shop buy all service and if you wanted certain songs you pay extra. Not now you will have to pay monthly or yearly for the same game and get access to all. If it was a proper guitar teaching tool with other instruments on it, like drums, piano, singing, trumpet, keyboards, drum pads etc, all for one flat monthly fee, then I would say yes but for a Game that i own twice over, and just a guitar. NO WAY. For example Youscian offers singing, piano, guitar, ukelele, and a family package. All for £20.99 per month. that means I can add 3 members of my family for that one price.

Most companies (and at least just of the guitar websites i know) have already or are changing to these kind of ways.
I hate it, but if a majority still goes with that........

Well that makes it alright then lol. I say it is naff. I can play any song i want, all i have to do is go to u tube and learn it for free. I am playing enlisted, it is free for base game and as it stands it is a fine game.

We need to know the price and more details of what we get before making judgement . RS 2014 still works great if RS+ turns out too pricey .

I signed up for the beta to see how the new interface and learning tools turn out. That said, I don't know if the song selection will hold my subscription for the long-term, if I get it. Either way, I don't see myself letting go of RS 2014 at any point.

I read it as it will be an option to buy or sub .It reads clear as day.

"Rocksmith+ adds a subscription service to Ubisoft’s guitar tutorial series" .Key word
being ADDS Just my thoughts. signed up for the beta we'll see.No reason to get our panties in a wad just yet I really don't see how it could be much different other then some needed options and a face lift .
It also reads farther down the line Quote "Rocksmith+ will OFFER a subscription service, meaning players can pay a regular fee to access a library of songs rather than buying individual tracks as DLC."

So basically, RS+ is a $15/mo subscription game with millions of AI-generated charts that the community is supposed to fix? Though I understand the pricing, it doesn't worth it at all. OK, $10/mo for streaming songs like Spotify plus $5/mo for additional troubles maybe looks reasonable but still a big NO for a game. Guitar Pro offers their professional full music scores for $1-$2 and $3/mo for the entire MySongBook. I guess the choice is obvious.

And guitar pro does drums as well .

It’s subscription only.

Yeah, and IF there was an option to buy the game vs. a subscription, it's guaranteed to be insanely expensive.
If this subscription model is any indication that Rocksmith+ will get constant upgrades, new features and new mechanics – I'm all for it. People buy FIFA every year for less value.

It doesn't work like this. When people pay for a subscription, they meant to consume the content at an enormous rate, like with Spotify. In this game, it takes months to master an average song well enough. And a relatively small library like 100-200 songs will keep you busy for years. Of course, some people would like to try every song in the world, but I don't think it to do anything with learning guitar. Instead, they could use Spotify with the same outcome.

As long as they actually add music I like, then I'm all for subbing. Only problem is I'm sure we're not getting anything like The Aquabats, because that would be forking over lots of money to play actually decent charted tracks by them.

Yeah but here is the thing, a large or small library doesn't mean the library will contain good music. Or fun to play songs for that matter.
Quality over quantity, always.

Out of all the songs that came with Rocksmith I enjoy about three of em.
And found about five more from DLC worth my time.....
I dont just play/learn Rocksmith songs for the sake of learning them. They have to be good songs.

I imagine there are crap ton of others out there like myself.

Exactly, but you don't expect that all promised millions of songs will be professionally tabbed, right? I had a hard time exploring the existing library for songs worth my time, and I have not even dug into CDLC yet. I can't imagine me filtering the upcoming library. I guess Ubi should pay me for this, not the other way around.
