Using The Xbox 360 cable on the PC

I've got the 360 game but don't have the xbox anymore. I've bought Rocksmth 2014 on steam using the 360 cable. The PC recognized the cable as Rocksmith cable. So no problem there. But when i start the game and i have to calibrate the guitar for the first time it won't recognize the cable. Telling me it's not plugged in. I've tried all the usb ports. The guitar volume is on high. I don't see why it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Make it your default recording device. You might even have to unplug other microphones.

USB 3.0 port by any chance? Or lower powered USB 2?

There are comments on the UBIsoft forum abour RS2014 not working with USB3.0 ports and needing more power that some USB 2.0 provide and the work around suggested is a powered USB 2 hub (http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1232522-Windows-10-amp-Rocksmith-2014)

I've worked it out. All I had to do is set the volume for the microphone on high. Automatically sets to microphone.
