Yes.

As a user and helping out others where possible myself, most problems these days are related to having other hard and software that conflicts with each other. Or the wrong use of mods.
You would need extra the RT cable for convenience, or an audio interface, and that last comes with its own problems to get it working. But also there are mods for created.

And UBI is still supporting it, (they patched it for the newer mac os version), just the development has stopped because many newer functions would require a full rebuild as far as i understand it.
The previous version and songs get delisted after a period of 10 years because of licensing. That will happen with this version too.
But when bought, you can keep playing it all. Even offline.

It's sad to see people making assumptions that this current version purposely is made broken, to force people to the new plus version, while it still works and shall work for a long time. I use it almost every day and have it even running on Windows 11.

I've got error on my Pc just because i miss an update. When i get a new file from Steam repository it works and no more errors pops.
I play Rocksmith2014 since 2016, i start as cracked version and collect a lot of DLC from the net, then i just decided to buy original version because it is a very good game and most educative to play instruments.
I play bass guitar, but i like sometimes to play guitar and also my son and daughter play it contemporary making some sessions.
If you like to play guitar, i suggest you to buy it.
Howerver, i tried the last version as beta tester, i find too much community oriented and bit personal satisfaction, also it's too much expensive.
Rocksmith 2014 is the best version u need.

i echo Cataleya22 in his points. I have over 2020 hours in RS+ there has to be a reason. It's that good and fun to play.

Steam has a 2 hour refund policy. You'll know pretty darn quickly if you're going to run into a compat issue.
