Skip Rocksmith Tuning
Hi, i want to know if there is any possibility to skip the tuning in rocksmith 2014 (with any mod or anything like that). And before you say "Oh, you can't play without tuning your instrument or the game will not recognize what note you are playing", here why: A few week ago, i borrow my friend his guitar and start playing rocksmith with it. I already have an acoustic guitar, who don't have in female plug for a cable and yesterday, i gave the guitar back to my friend. So, that why i want to know if there is any possibility to skip the tuning because i want to use rocksmith as a guide to play with my acoustic guitar, i don't want to lose the money i spend on this game and i am already used to rocksmith 2014. So please, help me ! :melon:

Hey MTZIGG, any idea why steam doesn't think he has RS? I didn't think there was anyway to install this and not have steam know about it.

As somebody who has posted on steam discussions for games I do not own, I can say that Steam family sharing is a method to get the game, and not be shown as an owned game on the discussions. Happens to me often, people tend to notice and get mad because...

There's also piracy... but as someone who enjoys family sharing with the fiance, I'll give benefit of the doubt and say it's not piracy.

If you don't want to tune, just throw on a flannel shirt and play grunge. Problem solved.

You're welcome. :beatmeat:

Flattery will get you everywhere. I'm currently working with Sony to start doing some cameo's on some of the PS forums, so there's hope.

Just watch the videos on youtube. As use for a guide that would seem to work a lot better.

Well... We can't let you go with your question unanswered... I have the game on PS4 as well and I have tested the information I am providing.

So there is a way with the PS4, and only the PS4. But it does require you to have a PSVita. Without having the PSVita, sorry but you are out of luck. I tried through the phone app, but it does not provide the remote play option.

PS4 offers the option of remote play for streaming games to the PSVita from your PS4. So, if you turn on the PSVita, select the "Remote Play" to connect to the PS4.. making the PSVita the main, and only, controller connected at the time... You can start RS2014 and it will not require you to tune your guitar... It also will not adjust the difficulty of the song, or display hits and misses, since it expects your guitar to not be connected and wont be listening to the cable. Any adjustments to difficulty will have to manually be made through the Riff Repeater.

Now, if your TV is set to your PS4, the screen will display on both. So you can have the larger screen and sound, just control it through the PSVita. Or you could be in a different room, and use the screen on the PSVita as your reference.

Note: Even though your guitar is not connected... The RealTone cable will still need to be connected to the PS4. Remote play does not disable that check. But you do not have to connect the guitar to the cable. Just leave it hanging.

typically you only need to tune once for a given play session, and not again unless you pick a song that requires a different tuning.

Get a pickup for your acoustic. Problem solved.

There is that option... and would probably be cheaper then buying a PSVita... But if you already have the PSVita, the above will give you what you are requesting.
