So ive been playing Rocksmith for about a month now, and this has happened three times. Whenever i need to tune the guitar up (usually back to standard), the low e string breakes. Please help.

Oops yea the high e, and it always broke in the machine head (not sure if thats what its called, there is a screenshot of the thing im talking about), there doesnt seem to be any rough edges inside.

Yer - that's the machine head, and a possible cause is that the 1st (high e) is 'sticking' over the nut when you tune up, try rubbing the point of a pencil into the slot in the nut, the graphite should help lubricate the slot and let the string move freely rather than sticking and appearing to not tune up then snapping.

Probably worth doing to all the nut slots when you change strings.

If it's a Fender style, and it has string trees, thay can be sharp.

Do you feel a lot of tension like it's about to break? Or are you just tuning and everything seems normal and it just breaks?

next time you are in tune .Take some time and push your string around so you get the feel of it .
This will help you from over tuning if thats the case. use you thumbnail and feel thoes edges for burrs or string notches. Some 1500 Emery Cloth should take care of it

Some brands of strings are better than others.

The strings may be tuned too tight.
Too tight and they break more frequently, too loose and they don't hold their tune. Have them just right.

LR, I'm trying hard to give you the benefit of a doubt. I don't want to believe that you are just a troll, amusing itself, while these kind people try to help you troubleshoot your problem. So I am going to offer some possible help. When I started playing the guitar, I was really haphazard about how I wound the strings when I was restringing the guitar. I believe that winding the strings properly reduces the frequency with which they break.
So how's the weather in the PR?

Im not a troll, im just pretty new at the guitar. I will get somebody who plays the guitar to restring it and show me how to do it properly, thank you. Weather is great

Your high e will be the string you break more than any other for starters. If you've just learned to play get used to it. You'll break more than 1 more high e over the next couple years. However, I also have an epiphone ( 2 elec and 1 acoustic plus a fender squire electric )..... Been playing longer than ive owned rocksmith. the high e does seem to cut out/give false readings (while tuning especially) In rocksmith. But I need to have my pickups adjusted. As others have said tune with a physical guitar tuner prior to playing rocksmith. The tuner is the worst part of the game.
