https://support.ubi.com/en-US/Faqs/000019020/My-Real-Tone-Cable-Isn-t-Working
Real Tone cables can break just like the real ones. If you think that may be your issue, there are a few videos on repairing them on Youtube.
I think i Like the game.....but i have not been able to realiably play it with out screwing with my computer for an hours..hope this helps
The cable isn't sturdy. If you were rough with it, you might have broke the wires in the cable. I've had a functioning cable for over 2 years, but I baby it. Have you tried listening to the input in windows without the game? That will prove that no signal is coming into the computer.
Tried disconnecting it from both the USB and quick connect?
Ifi t's not present in device manager or has a bang (!) on it, have you checked for the error code, removed/reinstalled, or tried it on a dfifferent port?
Tried ion another PC?
Rocksmith doesn't know it's connected. However, I didn't check the device manager so I'll have to give that a shot later before buying a new cable.
Assuming that it's present and functioning in device manager try simply unplugging it from the breakaway then connecting it again, that often kicks it into gear.
If the cable isn't present or isn't functioning in device manager then you need to remove and reinstall it, or try moving it to another USB port. Let us know if you need more help.
This is with the Game off
Go to your recording devices >properties>Listen tab >check listen to this device>click apply
make sure the volume on the RTC is up and the PC's as well and try it.
It will have very bad lag but if you can hear it with out static your cable is ok
1 more thing to try. Unplug >shut down PC >restart make sure you have nothing but the KB and mouse pluged in no flash drives either>let it reboot all the way >then plug it in
1) The Rocksmith USB Guitar Adapter is showing up in my connected devices.
2) The cable is showing with the recording device list. I checked the "listen to this device" and applied.
3) I have an electric acoustic and changed out the battery in my tuner/volume thing, but don't think that has an impact on the chord connection in game.
No luck. Any other ideas?
The game says "cable not detected."
Unless there is a yellow exclamation next to it in device manager, then...
you must have another app stealing the cable.
The guitar is not the issue at this point. The cable should be detected even without the cable plugged into any guitar.
Check device manager and see if there is a yellow exclamation mark by the cable device.
I appreciate everyone's help so far.
Also do you have a screenshot of your device manager for this device?
