Optimal Audio Mixer Settings
Any advice for optimal audio mixer settings? my guitar mostly just sounds drowned out and i dont feel like im part of the song/immersed, if that makes sense. the sound is so processed that i cant hear if im playing cleanly. im scoring 90-100% percent on some tracks, and i know if i played into a normal amp and youtube backing track i would sound like absolute dog crap. its leaving me pretty uninspired.

i want to cut the track guitar and vocals and hear more drums/bass, but i doubt thats possible. im on music volume 33 and guitar volume 63 at the mo.

or is it just the limits of the game and i have my expectations too high?

@renk2o16 For me, it works fine with Music at 60% and Guitar at 100%. I can hear all those accidental scratches and unmuted strings. But you are right the game here is mostly for entertaining purpose and NOT supposed to teach playing guitar well. It's because music is more about perfect timing. RS don't force playing in time, so without a full backing track, a sloppy performance sounds horrible.

I run the following setting when I am not playing though my amp.

Turn off sound effects.
Turn off voice over.
Run music at 50 or less
Guitar 100
Also set up a key to give you as clean an amp as possible. The problem with distortion and effects is it covers up mistakes.

I started to really enjoy myself and feel like I was improving when I started using my amp and played in disconnected mode. Yes you essentially have two guitar tracks but with an amp you can hear where you need work and then it is super satisfying getting it down. Rocksmith enjoyment really went through the roof once I took that step.

i play with an amp all the time. That was the first thing I did when I moved from xbox to Mac. I haven't ever looked back. Really helped my playing.
