Rocksmith® 2014 Edition - Remastered

RocksmithToTab - Rocksmith to Guitar Pro tabs exporter
In case anyone's missed it buried in the other thread, I've recently written a small tool that can convert Rocksmith 2014 arrangements to Guitar Pro tablature in either .gp5 or .gpx format. I just released a new version, v0.9.8, which finally features a graphical user interface. So, if you're interested in getting tablature for Rocksmith songs, please head over to http://www.rocksmithtotab.de and check it out :)

using guitar pro 6 lite (free edition) with it & its a great tool for seeing the chords
Thanks for answering to my call:) u must of done amazing work on programing Rs to tabs. I will not get my gp6 via through the snail mail. Until then I am using Rs slowed down to a crawl for my diffitcultes get the correct notes pick on the guitar. my question is the newest version of "RS to tabs (9.8)" written for Mac X operating system software. And how about your work? Will u be asking for roayalties? Since it is your work u do derserve profit.
It works on both Windows and Mac, please refer to the readme on what you need to do to get it working on the Mac.
And no, I'm not asking for any money. It's just a small utility that I wrote primarily for my own use that I'm sharing now. Besides, asking money for it might get me into trouble with Ubisoft ;)
Thanks - great tool mate. Nice work!
Thanks for sharing the utility for someone as me who has vision impair can be very helpful in learn the notes. Another added bouns will help in fretboard positioning for next coming measure which rs note lane can't achieve.

Rocksmith highlights the upcoming fretboard position. Could you explain what you mean in your comment? Thanks.
It's not the fretboard positioning that is being highlight, but the next position which isn't displayed. By knowing the finger positioning for the next set of measurements makes shorter movement. IN an expample, rather than using the first three fingers, why not use the last three knowing that the next anchored position is going down the fret and visa versa. A shorter, faster movement. That's where CABAListic utility comes in handy where u can see all the measurements and become prepared in proper shifting to the next set of notes. Rs suggest which anchoring and finger position, but sometime i find it a fret below or above where they are suggesting getting my self ready shift with a shorter movement. I hope thus helps
Got your original version to work with Terminal on Mac, but don't see GUI release for same? Also: I'm unclear as to if/how it transposes purchased DLC.
This is the Mac version: http://sourceforge.net/projects/rocksmithtotab/files/Releases/RocksmithToTab_v0.9.8.tar.gz/download
It includes the RocksmithToTabGUI program, which converts all the songs you have installed. To convert a dlc manually in the console, find the right psarc in the Rocksmith2014/dlc folder.

Thanks, I know what you mean now. This is something I adapt to for each song, and use the fingering that suits me. I have noticed in RS the issue you are talking about, and find it more rife in the early stages of learning a song. In some cases it would have been better for them to build the chord logically rather than approach it with different fingering during the learning phase.
Thanks, this is the greatest utility ever! Translated 130 songs for me in just a few seconds, accurate and easy to practice with using Rock Pro 6. If you want to actually learn songs using
rocksmith you NEED RockmithToTab. Thumbs up!
Excellent job. Works very well although without a basic understanding of UNIX it might be tricky. To export all DLC songs type
mono RocksmithToTab.exe ~/Library/Application\ Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Rocksmith2014/dlc/*.psarc

The * is a wildcard and will include every song. As you buy songs replace * with the song name.

I've only checked Angela and the double stops are missing from the solo but it's easy enough to fix. 100x easier than re-tabbing this yourself. Especially since the MAFIAA has clamped down on GP6 files on Ultimate Guitar.

If you're ever in Pasadena, CA I'll buy you a beer.
Or you could use the GUI program in the more recent versions :)
Strange, though, that it would miss double-stops. I just checked the Angela tab, there are two tracks in there, "Combo" and "Lead". The Combo track does have double stops in the solo section. I haven't checked in Rocksmith, but I assume that, in this case, the "Combo" arrangement is the primary Rocksmith track, and the "Lead" one might be a bonus arrangement or something? The names are not always consistent with ingame nomenclature.
tnx finally dl this
