Rocksmith Drum edition
Ok i know it's been discussed before, and Ubi thinks the market is not there.Because not everybody has an electronic drumset laying around.
But where there is no market yet, it's easier to create one. Why not team up with a drumset manufacturer like Alesis or Roland or even one of those cheaper manufacturers who sell sets for about a 100 dollar ( yes cheaper than a guitar ). Bundle the game with drumkits and see both sales increase.
RS drum version will become the nr. 1 standard game/tool for everyone wanting to drum all over the world. And even if it's not about money , Its about the advancement of human development.
If you play the cards right there might even be government funding available.
Technologically it should be no problem as it's about using midi information. I'm pretty sure experienced manufacturers like roland or yamaha can help you out with implementation.
Designing the GUI might be a creative challenge but nothing your design team can't handle.
Now get to work and take my money!

As a bass player its useless for you may aswell play Rock Band, but for drums its not too bad you can use eletric kit or your old rock band kit. Rocksmith for drummers would be awesome

Do you know if Wii Rock Band drums work? Because if I can use that, I might check it out again... Or just, the Wii USB instrument controllers in general.

Im not too sure, I used the Xbox360 Receiver so you might need something like that if there is such a thing

Well my aunt gave me her (not working anymore) Wii Keyboard that uses a USB for a reciever, but I haven't been able to get it running.
Sound like an awesome idea! They should also consider keyboard/synth.

Actually, after the update that added the ability to use different input devices, you can actually use a keyboard (I want to see someone do that actually, but I imagine it'd be ridiculously difficult to play since well, stuff like Metallica you'd have to mash buttons at the speed of light, and not to mention you'd have to translate the tabs to mental sheet music at the blink of an eye).

yeah this is crap. i've been playing for 25YEARS, and been up and down music avenue, and for every 2-4 guitarists there's a 2:1RATIO of drummers and people who want to be drummers. RockBand sold like crazy by offering their own drum controller. They could just as easily make a RockSmith for drummers, and like this guy says, team up with a manufacturer or something, and offer a simple affordable drumkit to accompany the game.

There's a crap load of people who want to drum, and it would be a nice solution for people who can't afford to send kids to the school of rock, or hire a private instructor.

I'd buy it, and I don't even play drums. I'd absolutely get a cheap set of electric drums for me and my kid.

Though tbh, this seems like something a modder could possibly accomplish as well.
