Game won't detect Sound Blaster X-Fi Go Pro
So, the title is self-explanatory. I'm trying to play the game in microphone mode and it won't recognize the card's input. And if I try to use the PC's default onboard sound card, I can't get past the ingame tuner. Can anyone offer a light please?

I'll say it before anyone else does: Get the Realtone cable. It'll solve most issues, unless you're using an acoustic guitar without the 1/4" jack.

Pretty sure you have to have a dedicated USB input to do the microphone mode, but I never use it, so not really sure.

USB audio devices, even a so called "high end" one like that are never optimal.
What do you mean you're trying to play in microphone mode? What's the microphone and what instrument? How are they configured?

What do you mean you can't get past the tuner? what exactly happens?

Is the OS and all software up to date?

My guitar doesn't have the jack. It's fully acoustic. My microphone is also not great either. But it works fine in most apps that require microphones. About the tuner, the needle keeps moving like crazy and never stops anywhere. I can't get it to stop at one position. That is, when I'm using the onboard soundcard. Unfortunately the game doesn't recognize my external one.

So you mean an actual transducer mic, which is fine. the game supports that. Make sure it's in microphone mode and the mic is configured correctly to 1-ch 16-bit-48Khz.

That is somewhat normal, but the game may not be able to hear the mic well. Make sure it's in exclusive mode, and that the level is turned up.

the output has nothing directly to do with the input. Rocksmith will try to use whatever sound device is set as default. Again, USB sound can work, but it's probematic. Make sure the OS and all drivers are up to date, set it to 2-ch 16-bit 48Khz. Turn off any enchancements or surround emulation.
