Xbox One Controller stopped working?

Anybody know why? It works fine in other games, it used to work on rocksmith but doesnt anymore :/ Have tried the usual unplugging/plugging back in

Just like on a console, we use a controller to navigate the menu's, choose songs, and use the sticks for tone switching. As a keyboard was never ever designed for playing games on, they were designed for writing documents etc. I like to use my "GAME"pad for games, it means I don't need to haul a big ass keyboard across the room just to change songs. At least with my wireless controller, I can take a dump 40ft across the house and still have the ability to control the game.
