Well saying as you are clearly stupid, 12 years old, dosile, or a combination of all 3, I will explain it to you.
Just like on a console, we use a controller to navigate the menu's, choose songs, and use the sticks for tone switching. As a keyboard was never ever designed for playing games on, they were designed for writing documents etc. I like to use my "GAME"pad for games, it means I don't need to haul a big ass keyboard across the room just to change songs. At least with my wireless controller, I can take a dump 40ft across the house and still have the ability to control the game.
