Is it worth to get a sound card?
Is it worth buying a sound card to get a better guitar sound quality ingame? (wanna get something like Behringer UM2)
I've got the og Rocksmith cable. But my guitar sounds so bad with it. It demotivates me.

I have the scarlett.

Well I never used the og cable RS. But....with serious software like neural dsp, sincerely, my low end guitars sounds almost the same as my 1500 ones....I even consider to buy me a new 350 one....

And with RS beta, the sound was just fantastic for a game.

So I think yes, for 100, it s very very good investment.
I use it for everything, guitar, games, movies...

I have the Behringer UM2, it works great and the tone sounds good! Setting up an audio interface with Rocksmith is a little difficult, but there are a few great YouTube videos that will teach you how to set it up in no time. With the Behringer UM2, you have to find the ACTUAL drivers for it. They do exist, and I say this because the Behringer website just gives you something called "ASIO4All". This isn't what you want. Just do some google searching, and it's not difficult to set up at all. Good luck!
I cannot really believe the sound from the cable alone is bad.....it sounds good for me. Might be your output while my pc just has the standard sound, i do have a 2.1 sound speaker system.
And take in mind getting stuff to work might need some more tech knowledge in getting it to work, it might improve. So if thats not a problem for you sure,

The only things that make it better imo are the sound effects you can include. But I can already include a pedal board (amplify Fx100) with the cable so for me not really necessary ( i do have a steinberg inferface aswell).
I also have a behringer uc6102 aswell, but just use it when playing with music on my tablet or on the move (less to carry).

I think the scarlett would be the better choice. More people have tried it, so if you run into trouble you might have more backup.
thx for the answers!
