No Cable Launcher broken (for Remastered only)

I decided to get the remastered version of the game, having "trialed" the 2014 version to see if it would work with just a generic 3.5mm male/6.3mm male cable and the No Cable Launcher, and it did work just fine. Now on the remastered version, the sound is still picked up, but it doesn't sound right, at all. I tried the original No Cable Launcher I used with 2014 and the v2.0 for remastered, but both have this exact same issue. Also, it still works on the 2014 version, with no changes other than the target of the launcher.
If anyone could give some advice other than "just buy the real cable lol" or "just buy an interface lol" that would be much appreciated

Both NoCableLaunchers work well with the Remastered game, but yeah, you better buy something because internal audio is no good for guitar. Both mic and line-in are low impedance inputs when you need instrument Hi-Z input for the guitar. And yes, RTC is optimal for a start (when you need to buy something) to avoid frustration if workarounds don't work as expected.
