Microphone and audio out of rocksmith completely muted
So the game works fine, but I just wish I could hear sounds out of the game like discord messages for example. Also my mic is completely not recording my voice as well. Is there any way to make those two work while playing

i think the only way to record your voice over the game is with expensive programs , some free ones may do it.maybe try bandicam.

Hi there. First of all, thank you for replying I really appreciate it. But recording myself isn't really what I'm interested in. I want to be able to talk to friends over discord while still playing the game.Since my mic and audio outside of the game don't work as long as Rocksmith is launched, I can't communicate at all. That's what I meant, sorry if I wasn't clear with my words

That's not true. VoiceMeeter Banana and OBS Studio will route, mix, and record whatever OP wants. Reaper DAW can also be useful as a VST host, and it's kinda free as well. It just keeps nagging even when the trial period expired. I can't tell if latency will be acceptable with RealTone cable because ASIO is a must-have for such purpose, but it worth try.

I guess it should be enough to enable RTC only mode and disable Mic in the game. Check Rocksmith.ini for those settings. And yes, the exclusive mode on the output interface must be disabled. That's not a great solution because it increases latency, but otherwise, you will have to deal with the software mentioned above.

Everytime i'm using discord and am in a discord call when i start rocksmith the game just lowers the volume of the microphone input in control panel > sounds > microphone > levels.

It usually puts it on 43 I think. It just doesn't pick up my voicce anymore. One way to fix it is to manually put it back up again, the more permanent solution for me was disabling audio exclusivity in game since it takes control of the microphone.
