Xbox vs PC Version
Are their any advantages to the PC version of rocksmith? I can save around $20 if I get it on xbox one but will I be missing out on anything if I do that? I remember hearing about custom songs a while back, is that still a thing? Thanks in advance.

DLC sales happen alot more often on PC.

If you didn't play Rocksmith 1 you'll need to play that on a Xbox 360 to export the songs from it (can just buy RS1 on PC through Steam)

The PC version will save you that $20 in the long run. Dlc goes on sale fairly regularly for 40% off. You buy four or five packs and you've saved that cash. I've probably bought about thirty or forty packs, almost all on sale. I'd guess I've saved somewhere around $200 in a little over two years.

So If I buy rocksmith 1 on pc, all of my song automatically get transfered to rocksmith 2014? Sounds like a good deal to me. What I may do is pick up Rocksmith 2014 during the winter sale for $10 and then just buy the cable on amazon.

I doubt that RSRM will go to 10 $ here's your best bet
https://www.amazon.com/Rocksmith-2014-Remastered-PC-Standard/dp/B01KVVSRPW/ref=sr_1_3/155-3466966-1655144?ie=UTF8&qid=1479054047&sr=8-3&keywords=rocksmith%2B2014%2Bpc%2Bcable&th=1

also about RS1. You have to buy that and the import tool to get the songs off the disc.Youd dont need the tool or the dicc to use the DLC from the 1st release

The lowest price it was on steam was $10 during the summer sale earlier this year. Its also gone for $10 on the humble store not too long ago. And if I need to, I can always pick it up off of a 3rd party website and activate the code on steam.

that was not the remastered version. It is a good idea since it will update but you wont get the 6 extra songs free thats all

I'm in no rush to pick up the game so I will just wait it out and see if it drops in price or not. My guitar is a christmas present anyways, so have until then to find a low price.

You have more patience than most! Look for a Black Friday sale coming up and look for a sale around Christmas.

Amazon for $30. Saves me $20 as long as the game goes on sale for $10 like it did in the past. If it doesn't then I have no problem paying full price or buying 3rd party.

Normally Im not that patient but Im not getting my guitar until christmas. I picked out the Epiphone LP Special 2 starter pack which went on sale for $169 about 2 weeks ago. I have always wanted to play an instrument but never really got a chance too. Nows my chance :steamhappy:
