Game stuck at black screen [Solved]

I found the solution. Rather than deleting this post I'm editing It so someone else may find it useful. Editing the Rocksmith.ini file solved my problem apperently problem was game haven't set a default screen size before editing It was like this

ScreenWidth=0
ScreenHeight=0
Fullscreen=2

when I type my desktop default resolution (1600x900 in my case)

ScreenWidth=1600
ScreenHeight=900
Fullscreen=2

Now it works.

Hello everyone

I have a problem with the game that everytime I try to open it. Its getting stuck at the transition steam to the game itself. Screen wents dark then It says no signal and whole pc freezes(even the keyboard when I press numlock,capslock buttons keyboard lights wont change)

Things I tried so far;

- Changing usb headphones to 3.5 jack normal headphones
- Uninstalling Asio4All that I've been using for Guitar Rig
- Removing Real tone cable before launching the game
- Redownloading the game
- Disabling all unnecessary audio inputs and outputs from control center
- Installing all windows updates
- Disabling other monitors except the main one
- Closing all unnecessary programs and background procceses
- Using old graphic card drivers(which came with the gcard box)
- Updating graphic card drivers(tried with three of the latest)

My system
Intel Core i5 4590 3.30Ghz
16 GB Ram
MSI Geforce GTX 970 (Up-to-date 375.70)
Samsung EVO 750 250 SSD (Game is installed on)

If you have the solution to this problem its great but even if you dont, suggestions to solve it would be much appriciated.

are you referring to the steamapps/common/Rocksmith 2014 Remastered folder?

Inside, Rocksmith.ini is blank for me. I am also having this issue. I tried out putting the width and height but not the fullscreen setting. I will try again.

that is the right folder But make sure you set your ScreenWidth Height to the same rez as your desktop not his

Hey, folks!

If the .ini file is showing as blank for you, please delete it then verify your game files in Steam:

https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335

Once done load up the game and then close it. Please then check if the .ini file is displaying correctly.

Typically the location to this file is:

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Rocksmith

These are the setting we would advise:

ScreenWidth [default: 1280] – Screen horizontal resolution, in pixels.
ScreenHeight [default: 720] – Screen vertical resolution, in pixels.
MinScreenWidth [default: 640] – Not currently used.
MinScreenHeight [default: 480] – Not currently used.
Fullscreen [default: 1] – Set this value to 0 if you want Rocksmith to run in windowed mode. Set it to 1 for fullscreen mode.
VisualQuality [default: 4] – Set this value to reflect the visual quality setting you’d like to use.
The values correspond like this: o 2 – Low Quality o 4 – Medium Quality o 8 – High Quality
