No audio input while playing rocksmith 2014
Hi.
I haven't played Rocksmith for a while... yesterday I installed it and I had some real troubles with the Guitar audio coming into the game...
I've never had this kind of issues with game, So I searched some workarounds or solutions.
This is what I tried so far:
- I disabled all input devices (except for the rocksmith real tone cable)
- I changed in the properties of the cable the audio quality from 44Khz CD to 48Khz DVD
- I disabled all output devices (except for my headphones)
- I changed in the properties of my phones the audio quality to 48Khz DVD.

From what I saw in the audio mixer of windows 10 there is no Input from the cable , even if I play something with the guitar and enable the property "Listen to this device", but I don't know how to fix it.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

If it is audio from your guitar, try this.

Settings->Privacy-> enable microphone

or something like that, I'm not at my PC to be sure.

Settings > Privacy > Microphone; Turn the "Allow apps to use the microphone" to On.

It was already enabled...

Already enabled.

I now enabled exclusivity mode on both my audio device (phones and real tone cable), I also enabled exclusivity mode on Rocksmith 2014 in the options menu.. but still nothing.

Are you getting any sound from the game?

Yes! I can clearly hear the sound of the game... but nothing from my guitar

The real tone cable has a "break-away" section that can sometimes becomes separated. If it does ever so slightly become separated (like mine does) your guitar won't register any audio. Please check it. Do you have active or passive pickups? If you have active pickups have you changed your battery lately?

My guitar has passive pickups.
I also double-checked the section you told me and it seems well connected... I can just assume that the cable is just broken.

Never hurts to have an extra cable about. I think I have 4 of them.

Are you getting any error messages or does it just not work? I have had problems because I use a Focusrite interface on my PC and have on numerous occassions had to reinstall the driver even though I don't use the Focusrite for Rocksmith at all.

Do not enable listen to this device. Windows will listen to it and not let Rocksmith access the cable.
