Missing Songs! How do I get them back?
The two most recent songs on my dlc list won't load in game. "Little Talks" and "Sweet Dreams" both won't come up. I bought "Little Talks" a few months ago, "Sweet Dreams" was gifted to me today. Both are in the dlc folder.

Anyone know a solution?

Right click on you RS Game, right click, select properties, Local Files tab, Browse local files. In that directory you should see the D3DX9_42dll.dll. Right click it and rename it to D3DX9_42dll.old. Go back to Steam and right click your RS game again, Properties, Local Files Tab, and click "Verify Integrity...."

Steam will see redownload the D3DX9_42dll.dll since it will not recognize it by that name, (you could delete it, but I tell people to rename it just in case something happened). After it redownloads you can start RS and it should resolve your issue and see all of your dlcs. If it doesn't, just let us know.

I'm having the same problem as Smirk... I have several DLC packs, which are not showing up on the game. I did a "right click" on the game, but it is just a link to Steam so it does not have a "local files" tab. Right now I am at a loss, especially since I have spent $$$ over the last 3 years on this game only to find out that the songs are gone.

BTW I looked for a DLC folder and could not find one on my machine. It appears that everything is located on Steam servers:(

On your library page for the game is a list of installed DLC. If any of them say they are not installed, uncheck them and then check them again. You should see the download start right away.

Hi Msyn, I couldn't find the file named D3DX9_42dll.dll. I did a file search and it didn't come up. Where would I find it?

Ok, you may have to click "show hidden files or folders" to see it. Before you do that though, I realized an easier way for you. Go back to your RS in your steam library. On the screen where you see your DLCs listed, uncheck the ones that aren't showing up and then recheck them. This should get steam to recheck for them and then download them when it doesn't find them. See if that solves your issue and we can try the other method I mentioned if it doesn't work.

I tried the uncheck recheck way and it didn't work.

I still can't find the D3DX9_42dll.dll file. I made sure everything in the rocksmith 2014 folder was unhidden. The only things that seem similar are DSETUP.dll, and dsetup32.dll, and thats in program files> steam> steam apps> common> rocksmith2014> CommonRedist> DirectX> June2010. I searched through files myself and used file manager to search. No luck either way.
