Master mode doesn't actually turn off?
I've been trying to find a solution to the bug for a while now, but I just find people saying there's no way to fix it. Even once master mode is turned off, I'm still getting transparent panes with no indication of what note you're supposed to play. Anyone here have any ideas?

There are two places that you can turn off master mode... One is in Riff Repeater, which I think only affects Riff Repeater... the other is the game settings... Make sure you are turning it off in the game settings.

+1 on ^that^

The RR MM is just for that play of the song.

The options menu MM is for keeps.

I've turned off both, but it's still happening in both modes

Ok, is there a specific song? One thing to try, is go into riff repeater and lower the difficulty of the section that has partially went into master mode... Then level it back up. See if it will go to max difficulty without taking away the notes.

You should only have to drop it a few percent, maybe try 90%

Are you trying to play MM in Score Attack mode?

If so, the MM setting will not turn off MM for Score Attack MM mode.

I'll give that a try tonight, but it'd be pretty odd considering it happened on a fresh profile that had never had master mode on

No, I've never done that mode before. Purely learn a song and the rift repeater within.

This is a new one on me. I have serveral songs im over 100% on and when I turned off MM the notes showed back up. Your dynamic difficulty settings might have something to do with it. Do you have them set to go up when you accurate and decrease when your not? I would say you could probably turn off DD and max each section of the song on in RR then exit RR and save that. When you go into the song again it should be max for each section and stay at max.

I don't like the way MM works now. It feels like it's FAR too aggressive about when it wants to turn on, which wouldn't be such a big deal if it didn't take it's sweet time turning itself off again, but then it immediately turns on again.

It also doesn't seem to turn off on a per song basis correctly anymore. I turn it off, but it turns itself back on. the only way I can get it off is to turn it off globally from the main menu. This is a problem because it completely impedes my ability to memorize anything.

I tried leveling down the riff in riff repeater, still happening... I swear this is so broken it's going to drive me nuts. Seen here: master mode clearly off, with one of the transparent windows from master mode, as far as I can tell. It goes by with no information on it and it says "miss" if I did nothing.

Again from earlier: I have master mode turned off in both the main settings menu, and in the riff repeater!

I mentioned in the same post you quoted it's off in both places, but according to someone on another forum it's not actually master mode causing this - it's meant to imply play the same chord again? Seems to be true for the section I'm playing, but I'm relatively new to the game so I have/had no idea if that's the case
