Anyone have Rocksmith 2014 working with a Mac?
I've had nothing but trouble and am wondering if RS is just crappy on Mac or maybe it's just me? I've tried two different cables and gone on and on messing with audio buffers and stuff. Sometimes it works OK but usually it's a hassle. I've switched to Rock Prodigy but if RS would work I'd be happier.

I'm sure it's working fine for alot of people. Why are you assuming that just because YOU are having a problem that EVERYONE must be?

I am not a Mac expert, but you're really being clear about exactly what your problem is anyway. Can you be more specific about both the issue and your Mac's specs?

Been working for years on My mac. What are your mac specs. what is the problem? Are you running exclusive full screen?

There are some apps that when running will cause problems. You have to make sure that any background stuff like helpers, etc are turned off.

Use activity monitor to make sure that nothing wierd is running like Google helper, etc.

I have latest MacBook Pro and its working well. No problem, maybe a little bit better than on PC.

Could it be a problem in your guitar?

Yes I do on my old Mac, but it barely runs the game. FPS drops fast. Go to PC for your games.

I'm using RS on a 2015 iMac and it runs much better than the crappy PS3 version ever did.
Didn't have any problems this far. Very refreshing experience after using the slow and buggy PS3 version.

I just bought it yesterday but it's running fine on my 2016 MBP; I've turned the visuals down to basic though as I wanted to save some battery life and didn't need it running that high.

There are minimum requirements for any computer, mac or PC for running a CPU intensive game.

Have very few problems (the occasional crashing) on an older MBP (early 2011) w/ updated logic board, new SSD, and 16G memory.

Thanks for the feedback. The problems I'm having include inability to even calibrate my guitar or tune it. Sometimes it works. Usually not. Another thing I'm seeing is that key commands such as space and control and arrow keys are ignored. Since people here are not having those problems I'll keep exploring.

Hey wealthychef, have you submitted a support ticket, by chance? If yes, or if you haven't but would consider it, let me know the ticket number.

I have discovered that the game works in another test account on the same computer. So something is awry in my normal account but I cannot really blame Rocksmith entirely. Thanks for all your comments.

Thanks wealthychef. Are you considering this issue closed (or on hold for now)?
