Stevie Wonder if you feel up to the challenge. Any of the Rush stuff. Agree the Jackson 5 is a great track. It all depends upon the genres of music you are into I guess. personally I have loved tae bass lines in the Steveie Ray pack, Kenny wayne Shepard etc...

If you are into your bass and hitting a groove and have an iPad I would strongly recomend taking a look at the Gary Willis app called Groove a Day.

In my opinion i would say all the Rush and Iron maiden songs are great and also hard songs. If you want to play the hardest songs for bass, then play Selkies or all the Dream Theater songs. :)

Interesting question and depends on what you like stylistically. Bass players tend to gravitate towards the funk or prog because of its difficulty to play. To be honest, imho, the simplest the better. If no one even realizes you played the bass in that song then you did your job well. The terms I get thrown at me more times than not are hold the groove and play sensible fills.

Out of the DLCs I have, Queensryche, Skid Row, Rancid and Billy Talent all have pretty good basslines to them. Also Long Train Runnin' by Doobie Brothers.
