ways to play without real tone cable?

i want to buy but i cant afford this cable, is there a way to play with a guitar cable + p10>p2 adapter?

Method 2. Use acoustic guitar with a mic pointed at it. Game will do some note recognition but the guitar sounds will not go through the game.

No other methods supported. Buy the cable.

There are only non official ways to do this
Anyways, using p10>02 adapter, you'll have to use line in or microphone inputs. Forget about quality

Shop around to find the cable at a more affordable price. I'm agreeing with Caldaar on this that the cable is your best bet to havel. It provides you with the best performance, support for your product, and less stress over the game from issues that can result from trying to get around the cable.

The cable is way cheaper than most PC peripherals.

Why could one afford all the other peripherals required, but not the cable?

i live in brazil and ubisoft doesnt ship and the only way that i found is buying the physical copy of the game with the cable that costs +-120 dollars, i can pay 30 dollars for the cable without thinking twice but ubisoft forgot about shipping :/

I've bought a PS3 version of the original Rocksmith many years ago, cable was included. I've been using that cable since.

In other words PS3 cable compatible with PC, zero issues!

Some people on the internet has said that they were able to get them to work changing the name of the USB device to the name of the Real Tone cable. I have not tried it myself, though.

The USB guitar works as if you have an acoustic guitar with mic so there is no guitar sound in the game. I ended up buying the real tone cable.

I used to play the game through my focusrite scarlett audio interface with the no cable patch. It worked alright but I ended up just buying the rocksmith cable because I got sick of changing settings all the time.

on pc, I use official cable, on the mac I use my line 6 hd500x to play Rocksmith. how I did it is created an aggregated audio device and named it the exact same as the realtone cable. it saves me pulling the top off my pc to get the cable to then plug into the mac.

@T-800 There is no such default option in Windows. But there are a few solutions. The best one is a third-party Launcher. Just search it on GitHub or consult the official subreddit for more details. This topic is not appreciated here for reasons unknown.

it should be discussed, we should be able to easily use our own equipment without any real difficulty or hacks. I don't want to hack my game, and I don't, I also play rs 1 on pc as it is unfortunately not available for the mac, unless I use emulator.
