Notes fading away

The notes started to slowly fade away on one of the songs I play regularly and after a while all the notes during the first half of the song were gone, I still have to play them because everytime I miss one of these "invisible" notes the game says I missed it. The notes still wont show up if I restart the song. can somebody tell me how to undo this because I don't know all the notes to this song.

It is called Master Mode. It can be disabled in the RR menu per song (and maybe just per play), or in the main menu for all songs all the time.

It is trying to get you to memorize the notes, so you can play the song without RS. If you miss enough notes it will start to bring those back.

If you still want to memorize the notes, you can adjust how fast it levels you to give you more times of playing before it starts having those disappear. That is under Tools --> Difficulty Settings.

I wasn't trying to memorise the notes yet, I want to learn how to play the song flaweless first

I have the opposite problem.. Notes are not fading away with master mode turned on.. Any help on how to fix it and make it work?

They dont start fading straight away, you have to keep hitting the notes over multiple plays of the song, then they start to fade.

Also make sure the option that automatically increases difficulty is on (forgot its name).
