keyboard is just fine, but with vsync there is really bad input lag... and without vsync the game lags

yeah, for all the talk about this game, it just serves as a reminder to me that i hate digital controls and people who get excited about iphone games are kinda reaching.

bumped.

If this game support mouse input will be a good news for me.
I've played original version (flash game) and this one, still can't pass the line level with keyboard...

This does support mouse input, that's how I just beat it. If you want full menu navigation with only mouse then that isn't in there but I made a profile on my mouse for it so it worked out for me. Maybe Terry will come back to do menus if people ask. As for digital controls, that is how the game is supposed to play according to Terry, though the PC version seems to punish you for pushing on both directions at the same time.

It does support mouse input. Did you even try? Left click for anti-clockwise, right for clockwise.

I don't mean the buttons on the mouse, I mean the mouse motions. I'd be so much better at this game if I had precision control.

Having mouse controls like that would completely change the game. It may seem hard in the beginning with keyboard/controller/touchscreen, but after a few minutes the controls feel great.

Well, I honestly think that mouse controls would break the game balance, but that's probably just me, and I doubt anyone else cares for that. I just personally don't think it's a good idea.

What the game really needs is paddle support. What the hell kind of spinning retro arcade niche game doesn't launch with support for my Razer pro paddle collection? This is clearly a half-hearted console port.

Can't tell if you're trying to sarcastically prove a point.

All I'm saying is that the game could benefit from precision mouse controls, since this is a game where you need to make precise movements on the fly.

Putting in real mouse controls doesn't sound like such a hard thing to pull off, and if you prefer the keyboard or simply the mouse buttons or a gamepad, nothing would stop you from continuing playing that way. Adding it in would only be beneficial, and I don't think it would upset the game's balance either.

i wouldnt play it with a mouse, but i support this suggestion. it's nice to give people choice.
Lazy Shell Nov 27, 2012 @ 11:12pm
Agreed 100%, this game needs mouse control; using buttons I constantly over- or under-shoot because timing button holds makes turning unnecessarily inaccurate. It wouldn't break the balance at all, you still need precise control, it's just that with a mouse you actually -have- that precise control. And hell, if it does make the game too easy, it wouldn't be too much effort to just make it harder. Balance should never be an excuse for lacking control precision.

Also, I'd totally be on board for analog paddle support as well.
