Using a Mouse!
Don't know if any of you guys knew (I imagine lots of you already did) but instead of arrow keys/ a & d keys, you can use left and right click on your mouse. This really helps me, as I find the keyboard very uncomfortable for all the quick presses needed to be a SUPER HEXAGON.

Have you tried using a 360 controller? I find that to be worse for score but more fun and comfortable overall. Try it yourself and see.

Ya, after scrolling through hundreds of discussions in here and found that playing with the mouse was actually possible, I decided to try it out and haven't used the keyboard since. My scores have doubled and I even noticed right from the very start that it felt a lot easier to play with. :B1:

This I keep seeing people saying, but I don't understand it one bit. Mouse buttons are resistant and clicky, arrow buttons on (many) keyboards are very easily and quickly pressed.. I suppose some keyboards are more resistant than others (I'm using a Macbook Pro keyboard here though, so very easy to use) but in my experience ALL mouse buttons are clicky and resistant, so how on earth do so many people find mouse buttons EASIER? o.O

Yeah, the mac keyboard is very easy to press quickly, whereas my keyboard (and probably a lot of other player's too) sucks XD

I have a gaming mouse (Logitech G5 wired), whereas my keyboard is old school with full size buttons. mouse is far less resistant and not too clicky where it gets annoying or anything.

Same with me, my mouse is great too, whereas my keyboard is some random dell piece of trash XD

Actually I suppose now that I think of it more, keeping in mind the fact I've been using the same mouse for like 6+ years, I suppose I do recall handling mice that clicked really easily.. I tend to prefer just a tiny bit of clickiness like in the mouse I'm using and have been so used to that that I sometimes forget.

I guess my mouse is not made for this game, I tried using it and it was awful.

I tried it for awhile and couldn't stand it, I like my keyboard, maybe it's those cherry blue switches.

I prefer using the keyboard since I find it easier to control. Although, I do have a :poop: mouse ....lol

Mouse is okay for the earlier levels but makes the void level at the end much harder.

If you want to go right, you have to make sure you've stopped pressing left first. If you want to go left, you have to make sure you've stopped pressing right first.

When you get to the void level and sudden changes of direction happen *a lot*, the little cursor freezes up because you're accidentally pressing left and right together at the same time.

It's ridiculously frustrating. Keyboard and joypad have the same problem but only in one direction, so it's ... slightly less frustrating. This doesn't happen at all on iOS.

Yeah, I've had that issue with the mouse, but I've found that by playing more with the mouse I have got used to it, despite it being so frustrating.

It's up to personal preferences. I have a Logitech G5 wired mouse and a standard 5$ USB keyboard, and I prefer the former. There is a problem with lockups if you press both LMB and RMB at the same time, but through practice you learn not to do that.
