Change the screen resolution
I'd like to ask how can I change the game resolution because my native is 1280x1024 (4:3) and now I'm playing a on 720p (with borders) and that pisses me off

I'd really like to be able to change the window size too, as my usual workaround for games that fail to get fullscreen right on multihead (most of them) is to just set the window size to the resolution of whichever screen I'm playing on and make it borderless.

I'm currently stuck with super hexagon running in a tiny window (but enjoying it anyway), would be much better if it were possible to specify a resolution.

This isn't about you, it's about OP, whom I happen to agree with.

I really want a solution to this.

this is probably the first game I've seen that had zero resolution options... I even tried setting the -w and -h in launch options and then tried editing the settings file and added resolution codes to it which of course didn't work. :(

when I played the game on a 16:9 screen (when I visited a friend), I had much better scores, now that I'm stuck with 4:3 again, I get half the score. Though both aspect ratios had black bars, the difference was that the 16:9 had it on the sides instead of the top and it felt like I could see more of what was coming at me.

Either way, if someone could come up with a fix or hack for this nuissance, I'd like to hear about it.

The aspect ratio is fixed no matter what resolution the game scales to or what aspect ratio your monitor is set to, whether that's 16:9 or 4:3. That's why you see the black bars. The game's aspect ratio is tied to the challenge. Changing the ratio would change the game. This is especially obvious in high-level play (I'm referring to the post-game stage). It's not a nuisance; it's game design. You'll just have to get used to it.
