Why is this happens? Increased FPS or what?

I was playing on a HP Stream 11 ($200 laptop that is really bad with games) and there was a lot of screen tear but the game felt easier. I got my high score of 35 seconds on the final stage. Still can't beat it yet.

Yes, increased frame rate makes all action games easier. I love my 144hz monitor so much!

The game is locked at 60 frames per second. You can't change that.

You're right! Well now I feel dumb.
Well he's right but what i noticed is that "vsynch off" gets rid of "microlag",those tiny little stutters that can be a matter of life and death in this game! I have a very keen eye for details, i dont know if its because its 1ms response time over 3ms/5ms of standard moniters but the game is much easier for me to controll now with the new moniter and im more aware of where the opening is on the hexagons/squares/triangles that i have to escape from........even CS:GO and BF3 play so much smoother now and the image is always ultra sharp! It's made my aiming a tad more accurate and less laggy so i can track the enemy better for headshots etc.

I accidently set my moniter to 60hz and was playing superhexagon and instantly noticed how bad it looked and "felt" to play and switched back to 144hz immediately!

BTW i use this moniter now i love it!

The internal resolution caps at 60 though. I'm using a CRT :p

The internal cap is at a weird 62.5 FPS (16.000 ms) actually, try set you monitors to 125 Hz, that would be perfect! see http://steamcommunity.com/app/221640/discussions/0/535151582675787781/

So an 2020 Update:

I recently found the HP stream but I could not find the charger so I could not turn it on. Now, I have no clue about how much easier it is with the HP stream.

If you want ti Master the game, and by master I mean get all achievement like us masters gods, then the best trick is to turn off v sync.

I beat the final level on PC, but I can not beat the first level on Iphone 5. The reason being Apple sucks and the CCP sucks. GG

I can't get the game to run well on my new PC, it never runs smoothly

Are you turning off v-sync? what are your specs?

I've tried with V-Sync on and off, Ryzen 4800H, AMD Radeon Integrated Graphics 512MB DDR4 1600Mhz VRAM, with Geforce RTX 2060 (laptop) 144Hz screen

I'm running the laptop on hybrid mode and it seems to be running through the integrated graphics on the laptop screen. I also don't know how to get it to run on the other screen / use the RTX 2060, though I can't imagine it should need it, as my much older PC seemed to run the game quite smoothly.

Are you using any software like Corsair iCUE? I heard that can sometimes cause issues....

Go into Nvidia control panel and make sure that most of your programs are on integrated graphics and that your games use the iGPU (RTX 2060). Also go into 3d settings and search for superhexagon or add it to the list and scroll down and force vsynch off and set performance level to highest You can get to the control panel by right clicking on the desktop.
