Why is Hyper Hexagoner easier then hexagonest?

I've been playing on hexagoner for quite a bit now, and i've gotten used to the general triangle speed there

I find it much easier then hexagonest. the patterns are simpler and it doesn't do the weird seizure movement thing

Best on Hyper Hexagoner: 24 seconds
Best on Hexagonest: 9 seconds

I too beat Hyper Hexagoner before Hexagonest.
I don't think they're really meant to be linear in difficulty. by that logic hyper hexagon is harder than hexagonest you know?

Anyhow, I believe many would agree with you.

a bit of an old discussion revived, since i've beaten hyper hexagonest itself anyways.

Biggest difference is the speed of the triangle; so all of the timings for how to rotate 180degrees, or exactly one line segment, are off. The triangle speed is the same for hexagon/hexagoner and their hyper versions.

Hexagoner is only 1.2 times faster, but hexagonest is twice as fast, but yeah
