does multiplayer work?

can somone confirm that multiplayer works on this game if so some friends and i will purchase it looks awesome but i know over a month ago when we were gonna buy it people were saying in forums that multiplayer dont work yet.

Yes, multiplayer works! It even did a month ago... but it has certainly been improved since. ;-)

hey how do u join a friends map it only gives u the option to create a map....

Go to your Steam friends list, right-click the player name, and then "Join game". You can also invite other players to your island using the friends list.

hrm didnt seem to work all that did was open up windborne and then it just gave me the option to create an island again ...

I know of the issue you mentioned, sometimes there is an connection issue that prevents you from connecting.
It does not show the connection screen and you are left on the level select screen which does not give you the option to load an island of your own.

What i tried was restarting steam and let the host do the same, it should work.

u guys know if you can make some kind of transportation device? also my guy seems to be god mode is there anyway to take godmode off? kinda lame game if u always have to play with god mode

There is no transportation device other than your feet at the moment. ;-) (Well technically not even that since your floating in the air.)

Also, you cannot die since there are no enemies, no HP, no lives etc. The only penalty is that you always respawn at the Dragonstone and might have to talk a long walk back where you were.

thanks wooly youve been extremely helpful, they should put u on staff lol . i love this game just wish it had enemies and more to mine/craft (lol) i think ive mined everything and crafted pretty much everything in the game in a matter of 12 hoursish, but still fun

I don't care about their servers if I can host my own via VPN so all I wanna know is how many people, at least 5 cause I have 5 copies.
